We’re led to believe that sporting performance, body composition and general fitness will fall off a cliff edge when we reach menopause; we’re conditioned to accept this and set our sites lower for the second half of our lives. I’d fought age related decline very successfully, but I dreaded menopause, fearing it would be the battle I couldn’t win. I’m happy to say that at 3 years post-menopause I’m doing fine. Aside from a few very minor irritations I would say that almost every aspect of life and training are now better.
